The Refflex capillary hose, which has become standard for supermarket pack builders and refrigeration service engineers, is available in two sizes, 2mm I/D tube (coloured grey) or 5mm I/D tube (black) manufactured with a thermoplastic inner tube, reinforced by high performance synthetic braiding. An external oil, weather and abrasion resistant coloured cover is bonded to the braiding.
New materials
In addition to the standard 2mm I/D brass flare nuts and spigot fitting, Refflex now supply stainless steel nut and fittings.
Crimp and screw fittings for all 5mm I/D hose are designed to have a clear 4mm I/D orifice to comply with European requirements.

For use with a wide range of non-corrosive refrigerants including R22, R134a, R404A, R407C, R507 and R410A the hoses are also used for pressure switch and manometer connections. They can absorb vibration and unlike copper capillary materials will not work harden and break design pressure 40 bar.
Made up hoses
Used by contractors for charging lines in production plants and on plant room installations.
Made up hoses can be supplied with fittings to any length up to max 25m. They can be installed in systems using ester and PAG refrigerant oils.
